Why should you read the Privacy Policy?
As part of the normal operation of our services, your information is collected by us, disclosed to third parties and used by third parties and us. The Privacy Policy describes the information we collect about you and what may happen to that information.
We have prepared a detailed policy because we believe you should know as much as possible about Findacarpark’s practices so that you can make informed decisions.
The privacy practices in this statement apply to our services available under the domain and sub-domains of www.findacarpark.com.au and apply generally to our subsidiaries’ or joint venture websites.

By accepting the Privacy Policy and the User Agreement when you register, you expressly consent to our use and disclosure of your personally identifiable information.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the terms of the Findacarpark User Agreement. This agreement is effective from your registration date.
What we collect and how we use it
Your account
When you register we collect your name, email address and password, and any phone numbers and address you choose to add. Your password is stored in a scrambled (hashed) form that we cannot read. We use your email address to send you account messages, such as confirming your email, resetting your password and reminding you when a listing is about to expire.
Listings
When you list a space, the details you enter (the address, description, photos, price and any contact details you choose to show) are published on the Site. Unless you choose otherwise, we don’t show your street number, and we only show your phone number or email address if you ask us to.
Enquiries and requests
When you ask an owner a question or request a space, we send your message and the contact details you enter to the owner, so they can reply to you. If an owner publishes an answer to a question as a public FAQ on their listing, the question and answer are shown, but your email address is not.
Payments
Card payments for listing fees are processed by our payment provider, SecurePay. Your card details go to SecurePay to process the payment and are not stored by Findacarpark. We keep a record of the amount, the date and the receipt number so we can issue tax receipts.
Visitor statistics
To understand how the Site is used, we record which pages are viewed, what people search for, and which website or advertisement brought them here. These statistics are anonymised: we don’t store your IP address against them, and visits are grouped using a code that changes every day and can’t be traced back to you.
Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived cookie (30 minutes) to count a visit once rather than on every page. We also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies, to help us understand how the Site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but you won’t be able to sign in without them.
Emails from us
Apart from messages about your account and listings, we occasionally send news and offers. Every such email includes a way to unsubscribe.
Who we share information with
Findacarpark does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We share information only as described above (with owners you contact, with renters who contact you, and with the service providers we use to run the Site, such as our email and payment providers), or where the law requires it.
Publishing personal information
All contact information acquired during the course of a Findacarpark transaction is considered private and may not be published in any online public area, including web pages, online forums, newsgroups, profile pages, message board posts and feedback comments.
Findacarpark considers the following information personal and private:
- name
- address
- phone number
- email address
User IDs are not considered personal contact information.
To report a breach of this policy, contact us and include the address (URL) of the page in question, or a copy of the message or post. Disciplinary action may result in the indefinite suspension of a user’s account, temporary suspension, or a formal warning.
