Important Announcement
Changes to Payment System as from 10th June 2005
Dear Car Park Owners and Renters,
Firstly, thank you for supporting Findacarpark, especially during our initial launch.
The support has been overwhelming; with over 400 listed car space and over 90 being rented, we could not have asked for a more successful launch. Since our launch in March 05, we have continually improved the website to make it easy for both owners and renters to use. Most of these improvements come from daily feedback from all our members.
As a result of this overwhelming feedback, there will be changes to the way we charge for our services. The new business model allows the renter to pay the car space owner direct without going through the Findacarpark system. This will give both renters and owners flexibility in payment methods and terms of use.
Benefits to Owners:
- One off fee for our service
- Flexibility in how to receive rent (i.e.) cash, cheque, direct debit to your bank account
Benefit to Renters:
- Flexibility in paying for rent (i.e.) cash, cheque, direct debit to owners bank account
Current Payment System:
Presently Findacarpark collects the rental fee on your behalf and deduct 5% fee. This fee is recurring whilst your parking space is being rented. Findacarpark then deposits your rental income directly to a nominated bank account. As much as this system works for a good number of owners, it limits the renter's choice of how to pay. I.e. Cash payment, or direct debit to the owner account.
New Payment System: (not applicable to curently listed spaces)
Findacarpark will now charge a one off $30.00 + GST listing fee payable at the time of listing. It will be payable via existing secure credit card system. Your listing will be on the website until it is successfully rented. The owner is responsible for un-listing the car space once it is rented.
What it means to currently listed car space owners:
Findacarpark classifies you as foundation members and in appreciation of you support, you will be offered a discounted $20.00 + GST (over 30% OFF) to keep your listing until your car space is rented.
We will send you an email on the 10th June 2005 to give you the option to continue your listing with Findacarpark.
Promotion of your Car Space:
Findacarpark will continue to promote your car space via National Advertising Campaign for 2005. Campaign will include:
- Banners Ads in all major Metropolitan Newspaper nationally.
- Transit ads in Melbourne and Sydney
- Radio ads in Melbourne and Sydney
- Editorial Stories in targeted lifestyle magazine publications
Other New Services to be introduced:
- Buy/Sell section to list your car space for sale.
We hope this new changes to the payment model does not cause any inconvenience to you. It is again as a result of your overwhelming response to make payments easier and more flexible for both renters and car space owners.
